Enticing read

Nice assortment of hot short stories. Was a bit put off by the fact that some of the more intriguing plots were not completed in this volume, but we're left off to be continued in separate full-length books. Yet all the stories were quite satisfying as they were. A good enticing read.

I've loved all short stories of this author so far! And now I get 13 books in this bundle! I had a great time reading them.They don't disappoint! I love to see this hot step-moms "caring" for their step-sons in their special ways. These sinful cougars will not be denied in their lustful desires! I highly recommend it if you're in search of good, well written stories.

Recommend this new work for several reasons

Recommend this new work for several reasons: plot concept is new and different in the context of hot wife/cheating wife/cuckold husband; several seduction scenes are truly hot in a strongly sexual way; story weaves in a few surprises that change the flavor of the characters and their interactions; although some of the action may be a stretch (no pun intended), the heroine is always desirable and her sexuality is stimulating; the cuckold husband is present, plays a needed role but is not the center of the story line -- his wife is, and her hook ups with different alpha males; the wife's motivation is unknown and mysterious in the beginning, adding an element of increasing sexual tension --- then the onion peels begin to fall on the floor and we learn who she was, is and wants to be ... and the husband is the last to know the truth. Great story, in my opinion. The length is good as well. Allows story development. Even with the desirable story length, there are several additional chapters that could have been included if the author had wanted to develop more extensively the heroine and her thoughts and interplay with the Captain and a couple of key crew members. Story is fine the way it is and the previous comment is not a negative criticism. Just think it would have been interesting to learn more about the heroine and her view of what was going on, in her words and thoughts, rather than the husband's or narrators. Again, recommended highly. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Thanks VK.

If you ever wanted to debut a story line under a new nom de plume , you couldn't ask for a better plot than this . Ms Kasari story involves a young married couple , Jack and Tanya Mulhullan , who do documentaries of military equipment . He's American and she's from Valakia , an Eastern Europian Country, both having met at a East - West photo convention . They are invited to Valakia to document the final sailing of a nuclear sub on its final mission to be destroyed . It's Captain , Abram Brakov and crew welcome Tanya , their home grown girl on board , with open arms and open zippers . But with with tensions between America and Valakia reaching a peak , Jack is looked at with destaste . Once under way, all hell breaks loose as an incident between the U.S. and Volakia causes the boat to come under High Alert and ordered to set out to sea until further notice . Tanya wanting to help her country in any way , joins her Captain and countrymen against the only American on board , her huaband . Not knowing he has a weakness , Jack is humiliated by Tanya , the Captain , and the entire crew . Before the books end he and his wife will see themselves for what they are .

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Victoria did a great job of showing the change Tanya goes thru as she submitted first to the captain of the sub then his officers and finally as a sex toy for the whole crew. it picks up speed quick and holds you as you wonder how Tanya will be used next and how she will express her hunger to be used to her husband. Jack is helpless as she is slowly turned in to a whole new person before his eyes. Victoria's imagination has full run in this book and I cant wait for her next one to see where her mind goes. If you like seeing sexy ladies turned in to slut and well used rough you will like this book

I like the use of pedagogical features in this book, including the graphs, tables, margin notes, and end-of-chapter questions and problems....The CFA material adds to the value of the book.

The engaging and fluid prose of the text is its strongest features. My students commented positively on the clarity of the text.

About the Author
Bob Strong is University Foundation Professor of Investment Education and Professor of Finance at the University of Maine. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Science degree in business administration from Boston University, and a PhD in finance from Penn State University. He has also been a visiting professor of finance at Maine Maritime Academy and at Harvard University, where he was Deputy Director of the Summer Economics Program from 1997-1999. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Dr. Strong has consulted on risk management and asset valuation for organizations such as Eastern Maine Healthcare, Bangor Hydro Electric Company, Maine Public Service Company, Energy Atlantic, the Maine State Police, the Maine Forest Service, Irving Oil, James W. Sewall Company, and Texas Instruments. He has been a conference speaker for the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, and the American Stock Exchange. His current research interests center on investor asset allocation. In addition to four successful textbooks, he has published in journals ranging from the JOURNAL OF FINANCE and THE JOURNAL OF PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT to the trade journals PENSIONS & INVESTMENTS and FUTURES.

Great learning book

I am currently taking 3 stocks and bonds classes at the junior college, and this is the required book.

The book is actually very good, but unfortunately is out of print. I'm not sure why the publisher doesn't do a revision and new printing, as most of the book is up to date. It just needs a few updated tweaks and charts.

I am going to keep it for future reference...

Superb book. This is a careful, very detailed dissection of all of the arguments for a society to allow development of the kind of extreme distribution of wealth the U.S. has allowed to occur over the past 35 or so years--since Reagan instituted policies designed to wreck our economy and basically destroy the nation. That may sound harsh, but the truth is no nation can survive concentrating tremendous wealth in the hands of a very small portion of the population. That might have worked 200 years ago, but it cannot work in a modern society. The Great Depression should have proven that, and did to every knowledgable, thinking person. Insightful Read

Provocatively written with a rich reference of data and research, this book is a great example of a neo-Keynesian assessment and critique of the economy.

The central theme of The Price of Inequality: How Today’s Divided Society Engenders Our Future, written by Colombia professor, winner of the Nobel Prize of Economics, and overall economic wizard, is that political and economic forces have shaped and reinforced the extent to which concentration of income at the top is created and protected by certain institutions in which the richest members of society exert considerable influence in the creation and implementation of public policies. This book is a significant contribution to the policy debate on the real cost of inequality in income and opportunity.

One of the main arguments Stiglitz makes is that deregulations and the unrestrained powers of the market have given rise to an unjust and inefficient economic system. Throughout the book Stiglitz extends and enhances a political economy argument the essence of which is that government policies, instead of market forces alone, are responsible for the forming and perpetuating inequalities in income. In a neat outline format, the author identifies the underlying causes of the recent corrosion in income distribution to ideologically-driven measures of right wing politicians and economists to dismantle government programs and regulations that were instrumental in addressing the problems of excessive inequality in income and opportunity.

Amongst the well-cited material enclosed in the book, Stiglitz discusses the forces and policies that are largely responsible for concentration of income at the top of the distribution pyramid and the significant loss of opportunities for the middle and low income household incomes. These include inadequate financial sector regulations, weakening corporate governance, creation and protection of massive subsidies for the rich, tax loopholes, rents and monopoly profits, and elimination of government programs that aided poor and middle income people have a fair shake in life. As the data shows, most of these factors created huge rent for the rich but with limited economic opportunities for the rest of the population. Disappointingly, the economic rent for the rich was created and in fact protected by our own government and its polices as well as various political institutions that were constructed to sponsor the interests of the rich.

The book argues from a political economy perspective how government policies and deregulation measures marginalized the interests of middle and low income families. Rent seeking behaviors of the super-rich and their united effort to purchase influence in politics are driving forces of inequality where the rich use their economic prowess to shape politics and economic policies to their own economic interest. Market forces, the book describes, function within a socio-political environment and their outcome is influenced by the effectiveness or failure of government policies to bring about a rather robust and equitable economic system. The morale of the argument is that addressing the problems of inequality on a sustainable level requires the reformation of political forces and government policies that give rise and sustain them.
The issues of income distribution and inequality have been used by both the Left and Right aisles of the ideological schism as weapons: the Right considers inequality as an unintended consequence of a market system that rewards economic agents according to their respective contribution to the economy (which Stiglitz argues is rather hard to measure: a person’s contribution). The mantra is that so long as income inequality is the reflection of inequality in capability, there is nothing wrong about it except encouraging economic agents to improve their capabilities through their own efforts and investments. The Left, with which Professor Stiglitz identifies himself, rejects this notion and argues that market failure is pervasive and income concentration at the top hardly reflects the contribution of those economic agents involved in economic output and social outcome. Inequality instead, Stiglitz argues, deprives society of realizing its economic and social potentials and condemns those with limited opportunities to accept absolute poverty as a fact of life. Government policies are necessary to correct market failures and mitigate excesses by powerful and rent-seeking portions of society.
Professor Stiglitz argues that the rich persuades the middle class to see the world in a distorted way that confuses their own interests with that of the rich (false consciousness/ideological control). This idea that the top one percent somehow made the non-one percenters share its perception and does not know its economic interest and choices is indeed fathomable. Perception and “intellectual capture” have strong influence and the rich have the incentive, resources and motivation to shape the perception of the masses to its advantage through the influence of the media, public institutions and other arenas.

The disenfranchisement of the middle class and it subsequent alienation from the political processes is an issue that would impact its present and future economic and social interests. The median voter is richer than the median income earner in the United States. The battle of ideas, should then sensibly focus solely on empowering the middle class to appreciate and exercise its political rights and social responsibilities.
The price of inequality is very closely related to the price of civilization that requires members of society to exercise their rights as well as responsibilities in line with certain social objectives. The American electorate seems to be almost equally divided, according to Stiglitz and he admits the failure of the political and electoral processes and suggests following the examples of Australia, Belgium and Luxembourg, where the electorate is accommodated to vote during elections.

Stiglitz concludes the book with an idea of reform agenda that covers both economic policy and political reforms that could make the current economic system more efficient, generate jobs, and addresses the problems of inequality.
Professor Stiglitz has managed to elevate the scope and depth of the discussion of inequality a step further and encourages readers to observe the challenges of inequality from a new and more informed perspective.

tough intellectual love for those of us who least want it

This collection of essays maps the intellectual biography of one of Anglo-America's brighter stars of the second half of the 20th century. An anthropologist, psychiatrist, cyberneticist, and epistemologist, (to name only the primary traditional disciplines informing Bateson's mind), the thinking is crisp, direct, demanding, and about as good an introduction to the later works as we might expect. The Theory of the Double Bind in invaluable, and its history began with Bateson and his research colleagues. This book is a must for one who wishes to grasp the early convergences of the social sciences, the natural sciences, cybernetics, and analytical philosophy into what has become, arguably, the most forceful and relentless body of thought guiding the more promising of late modern social theory's innovations as well as climatology and ecological sciences.

I am having a real hard time understanding the overwhelming high reviews for this book. Maybe there are still people in sales who have never been introduced to goal setting. They just hit the jackpot, I guess, because this book will help them set goals. However, if you are already goal-centric, which I would say most people in sales who choose to read sales books are, then this is dog turd. This guy is rude and arrogant and complains about everything throughout the whole book. Seriously. I know, right. A motivational book by a guy that complains about everything.

Best Damn Sales Book - EVER!

Mr. Greshes in his book, "The Best Damn Sales Book Ever: 16 Rock-Solid Rules for Achieving Sales Success!" is the FIRST author, person, etc., to ever get me off my a$$ and write down my short-term and long-term goals - not the realistic ones, just the 'real' ones for me and my business. My family can attest, I have a huge library of sales, marketing, and self-improvement books and tapes and I've read and/or listened to all of them at least once. Never have I been so moved or affected by such a piece. Thank goodness I upgraded for a $1.99 to the AmazonOnlineReader immediately after placing my hard copy order, since I knew I didn't want to wait for it to arrive. I literally could not stop reading this unexpectedly "in-you-face doctrine" and read the entire book online in one afternoon! Not only do I now have personal and professional goals = 2008---------------------2018, but I am just finishing up my entire Business Action Plan. I have never had more focus, vision or excitement concerning me and my business and where we are now going - what an eye-opener.

This book more than lives up to its title and provides the necessary S.O.S. so many would-be Entrepreneurs and Business people need to achieve the personal and professional success they desire. The first chapter alone on Attitude and Commitment is more than worth the investment of the entire book and should be read and coveted by EVERY parent, supervisor, coach or anyone else in any type of Leadership role.

It really is the best

Listened to this during 3 runs. Of all the audio books I've listened to, this was the best narrator who happened also to be the author. Warren's in your face high energy was great to listen to and helped burn up the miles. Its a fantastic sales book, I'll be ordering multiple hard copies for my own sales force. About the Author
Larry Krieger earned his B.A. and M.A.T. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his M.A. from Wake Forest University. In a career spanning more than 35 years, Mr. Krieger has taught a variety of AP® subjects including U.S. History, World History, European History, U.S. Government, and Art History. His popular courses were renowned for their energetic presentations, commitment to scholarship, and success in helping students achieve high AP® exam scores. All of Mr. Krieger’s students scored above a 3, with most students scoring a 4 or a 5. In 2004 and 2005, the College Board recognized Mr. Krieger as one of the nation’s foremost AP® teachers.

Mr. Krieger’s success has extended far beyond the classroom. He conducts SAT® and AP® workshops around the country, and has spoken at numerous Social Studies conferences. In addition, he is the author of several widely used American History and World History textbooks, as well as REA’s Crash Course® test preps for European History, U.S. History, U.S. Government & Politics, and Psychology.

Crash Course AP European History is exactly what it claims to be: a brief, clear review of AP European History for students who waited til the "last minute" (i.e., a few weeks) to study for the exam. Folks complaining that it doesn't have 2 full practice exams haven't paid attention to the description of the book--it doesn't claim to Do It All. It's much smaller than the full size study guides on purpose; great to keep in your backpack for quick unit reviews. I've taught AP Euro over 20 years and always recommend it to my students.

For quick and concise review close to test day this is a great book. However, if self studying i would recommend another review as this doesn't go as in depth as needed.
