Excellent book, it has gotten me through two 390 builds. I don't agree with everything in the book, but it is a great book for walking you through the steps of building an FE and provides pictures and specs all in one place. I would recommend this as a basic must have for anybody considering building an FE for the first time

The "Must have" for rebuilding

I had never seen a piston before, but I read this book and decided to rebuild my 352. I did get some help from an on-line forum but this book is the heart and soul of the rebuilding of an FE. The only thing the machine shop did was bore the cylinders and the exhaust side of one head, I did all the rest. I now have a 390 and it runs great!

Great book, easy to follow

This was a really good book. I completely rebuilt my first engine using this book. It was really easy to follow too.

Only complaint was that the pictures didn't always show what was being talked about, but you can only put so many in a book anyway right.

Good read on investing but falls short on methodology

Cover offers an alternative to the usual dogma of investing. The book is an easy read and easy to follow. As an individual investor i found the theories interesting. For those of us who do not follow CNBC or Bloomberg on a daily basis, it shows a possible alternative to investing. The one thing the book does not do is get into specifics. There are no examples of how to realize a trend or what are the components to look for. Cover tells you of the other way but shows no road signs to follow the path.

At first Charlie is overwhelmed by this new world, but he is Anansi's son and shows just as much flair for trickery as his brother. It's Neil Gaiman. That's all you need to know. Read it.

Such an absolutely delightful tale this was. I fell in love with American Gods long after most of the book world had been telling me for years 'YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK.' And they were right, of course. I should listen more. When I found out Anansi Boys was along a similar vein, I was so excited! Because for me, it's very difficult to find books that are exactly like this, with characters so flawed and complex, who screw up a lot, but are also brave and find themselves through the course of a magical fairy tale. That is exactly my very favorite kind of book, and I never knew it was until I discovered this author. This one is much less dense than American Gods, but not in a bad way. Less characters and intertwining plots, but I found that to be an advantage, as I very much liked who lived among these pages. I think that's really the core of what I like so much; so much life is given to everyone and everything. An entire world is unwrapped for you to explore, some of it dark and violent (he always has that) but also beautiful and always highlighting the resilience of the human spirit. And that is such a nice thing to celebrate.

Sometimes I will go a long time without reading something like this, and I'll read several sub-par books in a row, and then I'll remember that there is magic in the book world and I run to it.

Sometimes you just don't know how much you need to read Neil Gaiman until you read Neil Gaiman. You probably need to, and this is an excellent choice.

I Loved It!!!

This was my third Gaiman book. I confess, his allure and rabid fan base was lost on me. I wasn't moved by American Gods and Stardust for me was somewhat meh. Anansi Boys did a lot to alleviate those feelings. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and was constantly reaching for it. Gaiman is an powerful storyteller. He weaves adult fairy tales which is something I didn't think would interest me. Enter Fat Charlie and Spider and Rosie and Graham Coats and Minerva and Mrs Higgens and Bustumonte and the list goes on. A fascinating book with characters that came alive for me and rooted in African mythology. There was also some hidden depth in the story revolving around the notion that people can change and grow and become more than what others expect. Plot was somewhat cliched and predictable but so what. This was well imagined and well told. I loved it!!

STRUCTURE > Content

Excellent book. It's one of the few in my circle of "go-to"s to be relevant.
I learned a tremendous amount from this book, after attaining my Practitioner Certification.
Peter shows that, NLP is a methodology first and foremost, and it concerns itself with the STRUCTURE not the CONTENT.
He goes off the tracks of standard NLP here and there, by presenting his view point. The heart of NLP is experimentation, and development.
This helped me to realize, that I don't have to be boxed in and adhere strictly to what has been presented before. Flexibility is key.
This book also helped me to see, the structure of the techniques I learned. He makes a good observation that, a great deal of Trainer's haven't developed their skills as much as they probably should, and therefore hide behind the magic of the techniques.
He shows how the techniques themselves aren't magical, it's the structure and therefore the function that is. Great shift in philosophy for me.
This liberates the reader, giving permission to come up with personal techniques for individual clients on the spot.
All in all this is an excellent book and I feel justified spending the $40~.

AWESOME!

I liked this book. Peter has made this manual very much useful for those who has attended his or anyone other NLP programs. His concepts are bit different than traditional nlp practitioner but his point of view and his explanation is precise. I am looking forward to his new edition of 'NLP for Business'.
The only problem with this manual is that it has no index but I personally didn't find it so much annoying.

Nice and Simple

I have to say, for ninety nine cents, this was a good buy. Sure, you could probably find drawing tutorials online for free, but I think a dollar is worth saving myself the time and effort of searching for free stuff. I have a couple of Kindle readers, but I use this particular book on my Kindle for PC app. I have a laptop, so it's very easy for me to set it at the back edge of my drawing table and have enough room for pencil and paper.

I tried so hard to copy the eyes I was seeing in manga drawings, and was always getting it wrong. The best thing about this booklet, is it's simplicity. The different eye-types are broken down into super simple shapes. I recommend practicing those shapes and learning to place them on the head before trying to draw the eyes with curves, irises, and shines. That's the hardest part about drawing manga eyes; figuring out how to get them on a head. Using the boxy eye shapes will help you focus on eye placement. Then you can add the bells and whistles later.

Use this book on your PC and enlarge the font so the pictures will be easier to see. It's a short read, but has all the basics you need to advance on your own.

The Eyes Have It!

I'm very much a beginner and have been struggling with eyes. This tutorial breaks it down and makes it so simple. What I like about it most is that it doesn't just show you how to draw eyes and various eye shapes, but it also shows you how to draw eyes from different angles -- which I hadn't realized was the whole reason the faces I draw have looked so... kinda... off. Like I said, I'm a beginner at this -- but after an hour with this book, I'm a lot better than I was before.

Note that this is not a long book. If it was printed, it would be more of a booklet. But definitely long enough to justify a buck, IMO. Also note that I used the Kindle app on my iPad rather than an actual Kindle -- but it still looked terrific.

I't alright

I am giving this 4 stars for content. It is not your typical how to draw book, but it does have pointers and ideas to make you a better artist. I am sure if a person took the time to do their suggestions as little mini lessons they would see some of their skills grow. On the down side most of us looking for a how to draw book would like step by step details. This book really does not have that.This can be good or bad, as we may become more attached to how some one does something, Instead of learning several ways so we can create and mature our own ideas. It is worth the 99 cents not to have to search for hours all over the web for the same content for free.

Though this edition is intended for didactic purposes, it is totally worth reading. It includes explanations of certain concepts and historic characters. Sender's novel shows an impressive mastery of Spanish, Spanish Gypsy, and English that will keep you laughing from beginning to end... It may also make you cry. It's the story of a progressive Californian girl who goes to Southern Spain to do research for her thesis, which will focus on Gypsy culture. Because she is very serious a researcher, she decides she ought to have a Gypsy boyfriend in order to better understand the object of her study. That is where the old and the new, the archaic and the trendy collide. She learns of the profound passion for life, for jokes, for unaffected philosophy of Gypsy culture manifested through music, chant, wine. She also learns a thing or two about love in the process. Though light in the surface, this novel has some interesting life lessons.
